This book would be an encouragement to anyone. The author eloquently and humorously recaps events from his experiences in the ministry. His wholesome approach is very uplifting and refreshing for anyone to read.
An excerpt from the final pages of his book reads:
Sunday, March 9, 2006, was my sixty-fifth preaching anniversary. I bore grateful witness to the faithfulness of the Lord who has seen me through all the clear and cloudy days, all the smooth and stormy ways of my ministry. I have spent my life at a task that is still as exciting and rewarding as when it first began over six decades ago. I serve a God and Savior whose love and mercy and faithfulness are more boundless than space and more enduring than time. I am now standing on the western slope of life, watching as the sun edges toward the horizon. The trail is getting short. I have some regrets but I have no complaints. I blame no one but myself for my wrongs, blunders and failures. I credit God, family and church for all the goodness and gladness that have greatly enriched my life.
