Mambo’s Daughter is the story of Claudine Bustin Chamberlin, the oldest daughter of “Mambo,” Lura Bustin, and Rev. G.T. Bustin. This story begins in Haiti when her mother passed away, then on to Bible School because of her desire for more education. There she met her “prince charming,” Victor Chamberlin. Both Claudine and Victor felt a call to the mission field. God has certainly blessed their labors for Him. Read as Claudine shares the good times and rough times of pursuing the call of their hearts.
Claudine and Victor loved their three children who were all born on a mission field. Their children enjoyed playing with the children there, and the people loved them. As the children grew older, they were able to share the Gospel, also. Wayne and his friends built a little bush church for the boys to have their own little church, and Carolyn enjoyed telling Bible Stories to the children there.
Although life wasn’t easy, their faith and commitment never failed. Through it all, they knew they could lean on the “never-failing promises” of God.
