Country Pines is a full service commercial printing company founded in 1985 by family members who already had several years of background in the printing industry. During the years, there have been dramatic technological advances. Today, we offer computerized graphic design, electronic file submission, electronic proofs, full-color offset or digital printing, binding, warehousing/order fulfillment, CD/DVD duplication and a full suite of mailing services.
Offset Printing
Offset printing is the perfect choice for longer print runs. The beauty of offset printing is that once the setup costs have been met, the price per piece decreases the more we print. Our press offers consistent color using the latest color calibration technology, ensuring your printed products look exactly the way they were designed. We offer 1 color, 2 color, 4 color, and even 4 color plus spot color. Offset printing also allows for various varnishes (including spot varnishes) and other finishes to add texture or special effects. Digital Printing
Digital printing is perfect for short run jobs and quick turnarounds. Setup time and costs are much less than with offset printing, so it’s perfect for smaller quantities of books, brochures, business cards, and many other items. Digital printing allows more flexibility in the positioning of color photos or graphics throughout your book, whereas in traditional offset printing it is more cost effective to have color “sections” or groups of pages because of the additional setup costs. Book Binding
After your book is printed, it needs to be bound. We have a number of binding options, which include perfect binding, saddle stitch, spiral/coil, wire-o, and comb binding which can all be done in house by our experienced staff. Perfect binding is by far the most popular with our customers. It is the process of applying a special adhesive to the edge of the pages of a book, and then adhering those pages to an outside cover, clamping the cover in such a way as to make a square-back edge. There are no minimum quantities, and we can bind as few as 2 sheets of paper, up to a maximum spine thickness of 2 inches. Perfect binding is a good choice for paperback novels, children’s books, ad books, etc. Saddle stitching is basically an industry term for stapling, a method of binding that is useful for magazines and booklets of 64 pages or less. Spiral, wire-o, and comb binding are all great choices if your publication needs to stay completely flat when open — perfect for things like recipe books, study guides, reference manuals, etc. If you prefer hardcover for your book, we work with outside vendors to get you the best prices and highest quality possible. Order Fulfillment / Warehousing
If you want to sell books online but need someone to store your inventory and ship out the orders as they come in, Country Pines has you covered. You can rent warehouse space in our clean, temperature-controlled facility, and our experienced fulfillment staff will make sure your customers’ orders are carefully packed and shipped out in a timely manner. This means you could feasibly have us print your books, store them, and ship them out as orders come in, meaning you wouldn’t have to handle a single book. If you prefer to have your books printed elsewhere, no problem; you can have them shipped to us for storage and shipment as needed.
Mailing Services
Country Pines offers a full suite of mailing services, including direct mail campaigns (including every door direct or EDD), periodical mailings, list maintenance, CASS certification, track and trace, etc. We have a bulk rate permit that will keep your postage costs less than a first class stamp so long as you have at least 200 addresses on your list. If your church or organization currently has a non-profit mailing permit, please contact us and we will let you know how to maintain the non-profit postage rate even though you are having us to mail from our post office.
Want us to maintain your address database for you? Send us an initial list and then have all ongoing address changes, deletions, and additions sent to us, and we will keep your address database current. We will be glad to send you a printed listing or an Excel Worksheet of your current database whenever you would like to have a copy of your address database.
Prefer to maintain your own address database? All you have to do is supply a current list when it is time for your next mailing. We accept several file formats from several different programs, and also, most programs will let you save your database as a comma delimited file (.csv) or tab delimited file (.txt). Just let us know what program and file options you are currently using and we can let you know, or send us a test sample for us to try.
Some of the advantages of having us to mail to your address database is the savings on total cost of postage and being able to have your mailing on its way to the address list even before the overages have been shipped. Instead of paying UPS to your address for the full shipment, and then addressing and mailing at that time, your mailing can be mailed from our facility (which usually is a cost savings due to our CASS certification mailing program), and then only paying the UPS for the amount of the copies over the list.
Graphic Design
Have an idea in mind but can’t get it on paper? Let us take care of it for you. Our in-house graphic designers can take your spoken ideas or “napkin sketch” and make it come alive through the use of Adobe’s latest suite of software for creative professionals: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. We’ll work with you through whatever revisions you require so that the finished design will be exactly what you had envisioned. CD and DVD Duplication
We offer a full suite of services for producing top quality CDs and DVDs from your masters. We’ll duplicate your master, print any artwork on the face of the disk, then print booklets and inserts, provide you with whatever style of case you prefer (jewel, slim, etc.), assemble the whole package and individually shrinkwrap each one. This can be done on an on-demand basis combined with our order fulfillment service, enabling you to offer CDs and DVDs for sale through your web site without having to worry about carrying an inventory. We are the official CD/DVD duplicators for the InterChurch Holiness Convention and other organizations such as MasterPlanning Group.
Editing and Proofreading
You’ve written a book and gone back and looked over it several times, but you’re not quite satisfied that all the t’s are crossed and all the i’s dotted. That’s not a problem. We offer editing and proofreading services that will help ensure the end product is something you can be proud of. We can take your manuscript and correct obvious typographical or grammatical errors right in your copy; or you can provide us with a PDF (or we can make one) which we can then mark with our suggested changes/corrections using the comments feature in Adobe Acrobat, so you get the final say on whether our changes/corrections are incorporated into the document.
